Apparatus

Colonie Fire Company has a rich history of service to the Village and Town of Colonie.  Part of that history is all the apparatus that gets our firefighters to the scene of a call.  You can usually recognize one of our pieces from the distinct light yellowish color.  We made the switch in the early 1940’s away from the traditional Red to Lotus Creme on the recommendation of a past Chief.  We have never looked back.

Currently we have a total of five firefighting/rescue apparatus in service and several other miscellaneous vehicles for Company use.  We don’t have newest vehicles, but we take great pride in maintaining our fleet. We put our resources into equipping our apparatus with the most up to date equipment available. Our members also perform extensive training exercises in firefighting and rescue tactics.
